THE GOOD NEWS BAND is a Gospel Music Band consisting of: Larry Keegstra, Rhythm guitar and vocals; Marlene Giesbrecht, bass and vocals; Ron Atkins, tenor banjo and vocals; and Tara Giesbrecht, vocals. Their style is primarily Country Gospel with a little Southern Gospel and Bluegrass thrown in. They have been playing and singing together since the very first Cluculz Lake Jamboree 20 years ago. They have sung in many local jamborees as well as at tent meetings and at the Vanderhoof Seniors Friendship Centre. They also play weekly at local street missions. You will enjoy the rich harmonies and variety of their music.
